200 students of Covenant University are in trouble for not attending the school's Easter program.
They aren't just in trouble. They've actually been suspended, and the parents are having none of it. According to Punch, the suspension is “unjust” because they missed a school event. The Easter Youth Alive programme to be specific.
Even though Covenant University is a church-run school, the parents are calling it unjust because the rule book doesn't make attending the event compulsory.
A 400-level student told our correspondent on Wednesday that over 200 students were affected by the decision of the university
